Effective date: June 16, 2026
Serpent Surge ("the Game") is developed by Travis Shields. This policy describes what data the Game collects, how it is used, and your choices.
The Game saves the following data locally on your device using IndexedDB. This data never leaves your device unless you use online features (see below).
The global leaderboard is opt-in. The Game asks for your consent before any score is uploaded for the first time, and you can turn leaderboard submission on or off at any time from the in-game Settings screen. If you do not consent, no score data leaves your device.
If online features are available and you have opted in, the Game uses Google Firebase to provide global leaderboards. When you submit a leaderboard score, the following is sent to Firebase:
Firebase assigns an anonymous authentication token to your device. No email, real name, or other personal identifier is collected or required. The Game does not use Firebase Analytics or any other behavioral tracking SDK.
The Game does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The Game does not require any personal information to play.
Local data can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser storage or uninstalling the app. Leaderboard entries stored in Firebase are retained indefinitely. To request deletion of your leaderboard data, contact us at the email below.
This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised accordingly.
